I am glad to learn that the Obamas will be planting a vegetable garden at the White House, and I'm very surprised to learn that there hasn't been a vegetable garden there since Elanor Roosevelt.
Seems like self gardening has grown in popularity since World War II, but I guess not with the "dignitaries".
