It really makes me mad when corruption is this obvious: farm subsidies are huge payouts to wealthy landowners! There is a wealth of information about this atrocity yet nothing is done about it. A lot of corrupt government activities are fairly well buried in mounds of paperwork and complexity, but not this junk. It really does make me noxious.
Here's the deal:
- Farm aid is paid out to those that do not need it - including large, profitable corporations
- Farm aid is provided to people and entities that do not farm anything at all
- Farm aid is aggressively lobbied for

Ugh- this is awful. I know what you mean when corruption is this brazen, how do we come back from it and have some sort of trust in our policy makers.
